At Random is a traditional ​cocktail lounge, opened in 1964. We are very proud of our unique, perfectly preserved environment and our fantastic mid-century cocktails. Before you visit us, please keep in mind the following:

1. What are your hours of operation?
   Our hours are:
   Tuesday-Thursday: 5pm-1am
   Friday: 5pm-2am
   Saturday: 3pm-2am
   Sunday: 3pm-12am
   Monday: Closed
    

2. Where are you located?
   Our address is 2501 S. Delaware, Milwaukee WI
   We're located in the Bay View neighborhood at the corner of Russell and Delaware.  Ample free street parking is available.  
    

3. Do you take reservations, or is it walk-in only?
   Indoor seating is walk-in only. Our host will help you find the perfect seat.  If there is a wait, we will take your number and text you when your seat is ready. Seating ends at last call, 30 minutes before close.
    

4. What's on your menu, and what are your most popular items?
   Our menu consists of ice cream drinks, speciality cocktails, classic cocktails, and hot drinks.  Many of our drinks were created here at At Random and date back to the 1960s. Guest favorites include:
   
   *   Pink Squirrel: a Wisconsin favorite ice cream drink
   *   Love Bowl: a shared drink for 2
   *   Dorothy: famous cocktail served in a custom mug
   *   Mai Tai: our historic version of a tropical classic 
    

5. Do you serve non-alcoholic drinks?
   Yes, we have a large selection of non-alcoholic drinks on our menu.
    

6. Do you have vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or allergy friendly options?
   Yes, most of our ice cream drinks can be made vegan and lactose free.  Please tell your server about any allergies.
    

7. Do you offer drinks to go?
   Yes!  our drinks can be taken to-go before 9pm.  All drinks to-go must be sealed and properly packaged. 
    

8. What is your price range?
   We're generally in the $$ range.  Most of our specialty drinks are $11 to $14.
    

9. Do you have outdoor seating?
    Yes, we have a large patio that is open nearly year around.  In the summer months, the "Ice Cream Social" patio serves ice cream drinks and tropical drinks.  In the winter, we transform the patio in to the Magic Forest - a winter wonderland filled with heated cocktail huts, lighted Christmas trees, and hot drinks.  
    

10. Are you good for groups?
    We are generally not group friendly. Due to the size of our vintage booths and our service style, MAXIMUM GROUP SIZE IS 8 PEOPLE and waits can be extra long for groups on
    weekends.
     

11. Are you accessible?
    Unfortunately due to the age of our building we are not currently accessible.  There are three steps leading up to the building and our restrooms date from the early 1900s.  We hope to change this in the future.
     

12. Do you allow children?
    You must be 21 to enter At Random. Children are allowed on the patio, with a parent, until 8pm. We don't serve alcohol to minors under any circumstances, but we do have NA drinks! 
     

13. What payment do you accept?
    We accept major credit cards and cash.  
     

14. Do you serve food?
    We do not serve food. Food or drink from off-premise is not allowed indoors. Food is allowed on the patio, but not drinks from off-premise.
     

15. Do you offer merchandise?
    Yes, we have a converted cigarette machine that vends custom enamel pins, plus we have our custom glassware including our Dorothy mug, designed by Pete Klockau of the Black Lagoon Room.
     

16. What year did you open?
    At Random was opened by Ron and Shirley Zeller in 1964, but our building has been a tavern since the 1890s.
     

17. What makes your cocktail lounge unique?
    We are a lively historic cocktail lounge that is full of mid-century vintage charm.  Our cocktails are hand crafted using vintage recipes and techniques.
